Our Annual Healing Together conference will be held in Orlando, FL February 7–9, 2020 at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort. It’s a weekend of learning, healing, and fun for people with dissociative disorders, their loved ones and for mental health professionals.

Registration

Now until Dec. 31st is Early Bird Registration! Just $175 for full conference or $90 for one day. After Dec. 31st, price for full conference registration will be $190 so reserve your space today!

Price includes snacks and lunch each day. Dinner and breakfast will be on your own.



Now Refundable

You may request a full refund of your registration fee when you cancel by Dec. 31st. From Dec. 31st until January 19th you request a 50% refund. After January 19th, there will be no refunds allowed. You may transfer your fee to another attendee.


CEU's

An Infinite Mind is an approved provider through the Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling, CE Broker Provider #50-13784. Once the conference agenda is confirmed, An Infinite Mind will obtain a CE Broker course tracking number for approximately 10.5 continuing education contact hours. An Infinite Mind will electronically report successful course completions to CE Broker for Florida-based professionals. Updates and final confirmation of Florida-based CE approval will be disseminated to registered attendees and other interested parties via email/marketing/website materials as the conference draws near.

Certificates of attendance will be issued to students and other professionals who are licensed in other states besides Florida so they can submit this documentation to their specific boards for further review of continuing education activities. All attendees are responsible for following their states' rules and regulations regarding licensure and earning continuing education credits.

Unsure if you're coming? Reservations are cancellable without penalty 72 hours before the conference. If you encounter any issues with reserving a room at the promised rate, please let us know so we can correct this immediately.

Slide Show

We are hoping to create a slide show of all the amazing things that grew out of Healing Together. Actual conference pictures are very limited but if you happen to have any pictures of friendships made, ideas inspired, etc, we would appreciate your consideration in sending them in. These will be shown ONLY to conference attendees. They will not be used for any social media/marketing activities. If you are interested, please send your pictures to aimformegan@gmail.com.

Pre-Conference Workshop

This year we will have a special Pre-Conference Arts workshop from 10 AM - 3PM using SoulCollage® on Friday, presented by Alix Amar, LCSW and Reyna Vaughn who are both trained SoulCollage® Facilitators. There will be an additional materials cost for this workshop. More information and registration to be posted soon!

Welcome Reception

Please make plans to join us for a Welcome Reception Friday evening from 8:30-9:30PM. There will be complimentary drinks, and light snacks while you meet new attendees and reconnect with friends from last year. You will also be able sign in for the conference, get your agenda, and not to mention the all-important name tag.

"New-Bee" Open House

First time attending? Come join us for a special “New-Bee” Open House Friday evening from 8:00-8:30PM. See the space in a quieter setting, meet other new attendees, and have the opportunity to talk to some seasoned conference goers to get questions or concerns answered.

Larger Art Room

We received several requests to have a larger art area. We listened! If you would like to show your art at the conference, please read the guidelines for more information on how to submit your work for approval. All art will be screened for violent and/or triggering content prior to being displayed. Please be mindful when submitting your art of the sensitive nature of the conference.

Support Groups

This year there will be support groups for attendees with DID and dissociation, as well as supporters who are looking to make connections, find support, and have questions answered. Meeting times are on the agenda and will be run by Nancy Gaulin, PsyD and Paula Burley. Pre-Registration for the DID and dissociation group is required so we can ensure low group numbers. Chat and Chews

In addition to the formal groups run by Nancy and Paula, we have our “chat and chews” which take place during lunch breaks. We have chat and chews for supports as well as for survivors. These groups are run by mental health professionals and do not require any advance registration. Simply grab you lunch and come!

If none of these groups interest you, feel free to use the conference community board to create your own meet up.

Creative Corner

The Creative Corner will be back with new activities to help unleash your inner creative spirit, as well as our calming walking labyrinth. The labyrinth, along with walking tips, are provided courtesy of by Alix Amar M.Ed, MSS, LCSW. We will also have meditation and gentle grounding yoga at the beginning and end of the conference, possibly during lunch as well! Please check the schedule at the conference so more details.


Important Information

For the safety and security of all attendees, you must have a name tag to enter the conference area. If you lose your name tag, you will need to go back to the registration table to get a new one. Attendees may choose any name(s) for their name tags but their registration name must match their ID.

All attendees are responsible for their own personal, physical, and emotional safety. An Infinite Mind and its sponsors cannot and are not responsible if events, presentations, or conversations are triggering. Please ensure you have supportive measures in place should you get triggered and need grounding or assistance.

There will be a grounding room available if needed.

Emotional support animals are not permitted in the conference area. In accordance with the law we accept service dogs at our conference. By virtue of their training the ADA "requires the animal to be under the control of the handler. This can occur using a harness, leash, or other tether. However, in cases where either the handler is unable to hold a tether because of a disability or its use would interfere with the service animal’s safe, effective performance of work or tasks, the service animal must be under the handler’s control by some other means, such as voice control." ** ** 28 C.F.R. 36.302(c)(4); 28 C.F.,R. § 35.136(d)
