Healing Together conference will be held in Orlando, FL February 3–5, 2017 at the beautiful Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Resort. Escape the winter blues and come to sunny Florida for an amazing weekend of learning, healing, and fun.

Registration

Just $155 for full conference or $90 for one day. After Dec. 31st, price for full conference registration will be $170 so reserve your space today!

Price includes snacks and lunch each day. Dinner and breakfast will be on your own.

If you can no longer attend, your fee can be transferred to another attendee of your choice or used for scholarships.

Hotel and Travel Information

The closest airport is Orlando International.

Visit Wyndham Lake Buena Vista to book your discounted hotel rates. There are two hotels on property:

  • The Wyndham Lakes Garden hotel is a smaller hotel with an outdoor entrance. It is a less expensive option and connected to the main hotel.

  • The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is the main hotel and has indoor entry. Both hotel choices offer the same amenities.

Unsure if you are coming?

Reservations are cancellable without penalty 72 hours before the conference. If you encounter any issues with reserving a room at the promised rate, please let us know so we can correct this immediately.

Additional Events

Please make plans to join us for a Welcome Reception Friday evening from 8:30-9:30PM. There will be complimentary drinks, and light Hors d'œuvres while you meet new attendees and reconnect with friends from last year. You will also be able sign in for the conference, get your agenda, and not to mention the all-important name tag.

We received several requests to have a larger art area. We listened! If you would like to show your art at the conference, please read the art guidelines for more information on how to submit your work for approval. All art will be screened for violent and/or triggering content prior to being displayed. Please be mindful when submitting your art of the sensitive nature of the conference.

This year there will be support groups for attendees with DID and dissociation, as well as supporters who are looking to make connections, find support, and have questions answered. The group for mental health professionals will focus on how to run your own group. Meeting times are on the agenda and will be run by Nancy Gaulin, PsyD and Paula Burley. If formal support groups aren't for you, feel free to use our conference community board to create your own sub group that interests you! The conference community board will be located in the front of the conference.

The Creative Corner will be back with new activities to help unleash your inner creative spirit, as well as our calming walking labyrinth. The labyrinth, along with walking tips, are provided courtesy of by Alix Amar M.Ed, MSS, LCSW.

Processing Healing Together Through Art by Kim Snow M.A, LMHC will take place February 5th from 5-7pm at the conference hotel for an additional fee of $40. Space will be limited.

"There are many AIM participants that use art, personally and in therapy, to help tell their stories and heal. Many have mentioned to me the desire to experience art therapy as a therapeutic modality to understand how the techniques can be incorporated into their healing. This workshop will explore the thoughts and feelings generated by the Healing Together conference as a means to experience art therapy in its traditional form. There will be an emphasis on bringing some closure to the conference and fostering insights into each individual's use of color, form, content and symbolization. Participants will be encouraged to discuss their art with the group if they feel comfortable. As with most clinical art therapy, expression and process is the goal, not an art product. In other words, it is not at all necessary to be a budding artist to participate in the workshop, often the most healing art comes from disregarding the making of a "nice picture". The art materials provided will be clay and pastels, allowing for an open, fluid art experience."

Important Information

For the safety and security of all attendees, you must have a name tag to enter the conference area. If you lose your name tag, you will need to go back to the registration table to get a new one. Attendees may choose any name(s) for their name tags but their registration name must match their ID.

All attendees are responsible for their own personal, physical, and emotional safety. An Infinite Mind and its sponsors cannot and are not responsible if events, presentations, or conversations are triggering. Please ensure you have supportive measures in place should you get triggered and need grounding or assistance.

There will be a grounding room available if needed.
